3rd IWCC 2026 & 10th Series of IWC Sustainable Water Management in a Changing Climate 25–26 November 2026 | OIC-COMSTECH , Islamabad, Pakistan RIPHAH-IAU-TTNU

Water scarcity has emerged as one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century. Climate change, rapid population growth, over exploitation of freshwater resources, and inadequate water governance have collectively intensified pressures on both the quantity and quality of water worldwide. Increasing climate variability has further amplified risks in the form of droughts, floods, declining groundwater levels, and deteriorating water quality, directly threatening ecosystems, food security, urban sustainability, and human well-being.

In response to these growing concerns, the International Climate Change and Water (ICCW) Conference series was initiated to provide a global platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative solutions. The 1st International Conference on the Role of Climate Change on Water Resources Management for a Sustainable Future (ICCW-2024) was successfully held at Istanbul Aydın University from 29 March to 1 April 2024. Building on its success, the 2nd ICCW2025 Conference was held from May 22-24, 2025, hosted by Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent. The 9th International Water Conference was successfully held on 6-7 May 2025 under the theme “Emerging Technologies for Water Security and Socio-Economic Development”.

The 3rd International Climate Change and Water (ICCW)- 2026 on “Sustainable Water Management in a Changing Climate” is to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan from 25–26 November 2026 at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat to be hosted by Riphah International University, Islamabad in partnership with Istanbul Aydın University, Tashkent State Transport University, COMSTECH and PCRWR. Sub-themes of the conference are as follow:
• Climate Smart Water & Agriculture Practices/Systems
• Technology & Innovation for Climate & Water Challenges
• Awareness, Policy & Governance in Climate Adaptation

The aim of ICCW-26 is to focus on sustainable water management in a changing climate scenario through holistic approach that equilibria water supply and demand through conservation, technological interventions, adaptive infrastructure and effective and efficient water governance system to ensure sustainability of Water Quality and Quantity. The Conference will bring together diverse and distinguished academicians, researchers, civil society organizations, private sectors, national/international partners, public officials and water actors will reflect multifaceted nature of water security.
